Greatest Conspiracy Ever Told
A short introduction to DejaVu:
What do Yale University, the Civil & World Wars, the stock market crashes and bank collapses of two centuries, Nixon, JFK, the CIA, Watergate, Halliburton, Iran-Contra and Osama bin Laden have in common? They are all elements in the Greatest Conspiracy Theory Ever Told, a tale that centers around America’s top top-secret family–the Bushes. Examination of this family’s trajectory through American history is an exercise in continual deja vu; a pattern of predatory capitalism, corrupt political power, and manipulation of domestic and foreign policy repeatedly enriches the Bushes while wreaking havoc on everyone else. In the past 90 years alone:
* Samuel P. Bush headed the WWI U.S. small arms procurement board, forged parts for those arms in his own foundry, handed out no-bid contracts to his friends, and was never prosecuted
* His son, Prescott Bush Sr, brokered weapons and energy investments for the Third Reich, set up no-bid contracts for his friends, and was never prosecuted
* Prescott’s son, George Bush Sr, armed Iraq, Iran, China, Latin American death squads, and U.S. enemies and dictators all over the world, handed out no-bid contracts to his friends, raided the banks, and was never prosecuted
* His son, George W Bush, created the largest weapons budget in world history, invited energy brokers to invade the Middle East, raided the banks, and was never prosecuted
* Back in the day, Samuel Bush was a consultant to President Hoover, who presided over the greatest stockmarket drop and jobs loss in U.S. history; 90 years later, Bush’s great-grandson George W. broke both records
* Roger Ailes figured out how television could help install Nixon in the White House; 30 years later Ailes used his own Fox News to install George W. in the White House
* Nixon and George Bush Sr waged war on communists in Vietnam so we didn’t have to fight them here
* Reagan and George Bush Sr waged war on communists in Afghanistan and Latin America so we didn’t have to fight them here
* George Bush Jr waged war on terrorists in Afghanistan and Iraq so…you guessed it!
* Prescott Bush brought a future Halliburton company public in 1928
* Nixon and Bush Sr gave Halliburton companies wartime contracts throughout the 60’s
* Bush Jr ruled America with a former Halliburton CEO and gave away over-priced contracts to Halliburton; all told, Halliburton companies have received hundreds of billions of dollars in lucrative payments, while de-frauding taxpayers hundreds of times and escaping serious prosecution every time
* Hillary Rodham helped expose Nixon’s crimes while George Bush Sr fought to defend him; her future husband Bill Clinton campaigned again Southern racists while George Bush Sr fought to destroy him
* Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney have been following Bushes in and out of the White House since the Nixon era, sharing Defense Secretary and chief aide appointments, running point and interference during illegal activies, and raking in hundreds of millions of dollars of corporate profits for themselves–and have never been prosecuted
* More DejaVu: George Bush Sr sold a Gulf War with PR firms, manufactured evidence and doctored intelligence; 12 years later, George Bush Jr sold another Gulf War with the same PR firms, manufactured evidence and doctored intelligence
* George Bush Sr attacked John Kerry’s character as he protested Nixon’s Vietnam in the 1970’s; Kerry exposed George Bush Sr’s character during Iran-Contra in the ’80’s; George Bush Jr attacked John Kerry’s character as Kerry protested Bush’s Iraq in the ’00’s
* Reverend Moon, head of the Moonies (Unification Church) and promoter of radical right, anti-American sentiments, used his money-losing rag the Washington Times to push mainstream media to the right, benefiting Nixon, Reagan, Bushes Sr and Jr, and a host of far-right religious and political leaders; both elder and younger Bushes speak for hire at Moonie-sponsored events, and have protected him from Congressional criminal investigations
There’s so much more to this family, including political enemies killed in weird plane crashes; national tragedies that change voting demographics; sleazy relationships with Mafiosos, terrorists and dictators; a recurring thread of racism and eugenics theory; and a seemingly uncanny ability to keep the worst of Bush exploits out of the mainstream press–but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We begin this narrative in Colonial America, when Yale Universtity (which later becomes both the heart of the U.S. intelligence community and the Bush family alma mater) is founded while another narrow-minded, batshit-crazy King George is ripping off Americans… As best said by the immortal Yogi Bera, “It’s deja vu all over again!”
P.S. In case you’re thinking, “Why does this matter? No Bush will ever make it back to the White House,” I’ll respond first with, “Don’t bet on it,” and second with, “Even if they don’t, their friends will.” Forewarned is forearmed.
